Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to some comments from Jurgen Klopp, as the German defended his midfield after the shambolic showing in Paris.

Liverpool might consider themselves unlucky not to have grabbed something from the second half of the defeat in Paris, but the first half display was truly shocking.

The midfield in particular was non-existent, as the electric PSG attack just romped through at the Reds’ helpless backline.

Fans were crucifying all three of the midfielders on Wednesday, but Klopp has jumped to his player’s defence in his pre-Everton press conference.

"We concede 5 goals (in the league this season) and you talk about how our midfield is overrun? I don’t see that,” he said.

“I don't see any problems in midfield."

Klopp may simply be defending his players’ pride in public, but he is wrong to suggest there are no problems in the middle of the park.

The Reds’ electric front three has suffered slightly from a lack of creativity from midfield this season, and fans are growing more and more infuriated by the continued absence of Naby Keita and Fabinho.
