At the moment it appears likely that Liverpool and Real Madrid will go head to head in the Champions League final in Kiev next month.

The Reds stunned Roma at Anfield in the first leg of their semi-final by ripping to a 5-0 lead, largely in thanks to an unstoppable Mohamed Salah.

In the final 20 minutes, though, the Italian outfit gave themselves a glimmer of hope heading into the decider at the Stadio Olimpico by scoring two away goals.

Elsewhere in Germany, Zinedine Zidane’s Madrid team took the edge with a 2-1 triumph over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

If the final does end up being a clash between Liverpool and Real, Los Blancos will be favourites on paper as they aim to clinch three Champions League crowns in a row.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side are in a rich vein of form and are yet to suffer a single defeat in the European campaign.

The only downside for the Merseyside outfit is that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss the rest of the tournament, as well as the World Cup, due to injury.

Despite the fact that Liverpool are not yet in the final, the majority feel confident that they would overcome Madrid.
