Liverpool fans crucify Alexander-Arnold display vs Arsenal

Loads of Liverpool fans have been running the rule over their 1-1 draw at Arsenal, and they’re absolutely crucifying Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The form of Alexander-Arnold last season almost seemed too good to be true, as the Scouse starlet dominated the later stages of the Champions League for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp is clearly very keen to take good care of the youngster though, and he has been rested for a couple of key matches since his poor display in Naples.

The 20 year-old had an absolute nightmare during the 1-0 defeat to Napoli, prompting Klopp to shift Joe Gomez to the right flank and bring in Dejan Lovren against Manchester City.

An injury to Lovren meant Alexander-Arnold got his place back against Arsenal though, and it was a shocking display by the hefty standards he set last season.

He completed just 65 per cent of his passes, and struggled massively with the pace of Arsenal’s attack down that flank.

The youngster also switched off for Arsenal’s equaliser, standing still waiting for the offside flag instead of getting back in to defend.
