Liverpool fans debate form of Firmino as his goalscoring drought continues

The expectations on Liverpool’s front three are extremely high given how prolific they were least season.

Therefore, it has been fair to say that the dynamic trio have not yet reached their best form collectively.

Individually, they have been getting on the scoresheet, but Roberto Firmino has had to watch his teammates Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have more success in front of goal recently.

The Brazilian has scored four goals and registered two assists in 14 appearances in all competitions.

In fact, Firmino has only struck the back of the net once in his last nine outings for the Merseyside club.

The 27-year-old, who is valued at £72m by Transfermarkt, regularly has opportunities to get back to scoring ways as he is one of the first names on the teamsheet.

However, his current form has led to questions about Jurgen Klopp’s team selection, and whether Firmino should be given a breather.

In response to a tweet from Liverpool Echo journalist James Pearce, some Liverpool fans gave their thoughts on the current situation.
