A piece in the Liverpool Echo has sparked a conversation among the Merseyside club's fanbase.

The report suggests that Nathaniel Clyne's time at Liverpool is coming to an end as he has failed to win back a place in Jurgen Klopp's team.

Only a few seasons ago, the right-back was a regular for both the Reds and England.

Since suffering an injury in July 2017, Clyne has had to watch on the sidelines as academy graduate Trent Alexander-Arnold grabbed the spot and made it his own.

The 27-year-old only made five appearances in all competitions last season and has just one under his belt in the current campaign.

Interestingly, Joe Gomez has been selected to act as cover for Alexander-Arnold despite the fact that the 21-year-old has been playing most of the season partnering Virgil van Dijk at centre-back.

The suggestion from the Liverpool Echo that Clyne may need to move on from Anfield has drawn in the attention of supporters, who have posted their thoughts on Reddit.
