Loads of Liverpool fans have been calling for Fabinho to start against Crystal Palace as the Reds look to build on their dominant opening day win.
Liverpool got their season off to the perfect start last week, romping to a 4-0 win over West Ham.
While much of the focus was on Naby Keita’s superb debut, fans are now calling for Fabinho to follow suit, as the Brazilian had to settle for a spot on the bench against the Hammers.
The tough tackling midfielder was brought in to plug the gaps in the Reds’ midfield, and fans hope the extra height, power and defensive intelligence can help prevent a predictable meltdown at Selhurst Park.
A Monday night game against the Eagles has a Christian Benteke winner written all over it, especially with young Joe Gomez filling in at centre back in the absence of Dejan Lovren.
Fabinho’s height would be a huge help in preventing that threat, and fans are hoping he replaces Georginio Wijnaldum, who has a tendancy to go missing in away games.

Away against Palace I would choose Fabinho, not sure about his fitness though..

He should start ahead of Wijnaldum, Keita, Fabinho and Milner or Henderson if fit.

Replace Wijnadlum , and leave Milner and Keita in their original positions.

Fabinho should be given his debut and Wijnaldum should be rested in the away game against Crystal Palace. The Dutch player usually goes missing in the away games and it is best that someone more Ubiquitous like Fabinho comes in, especially against a physical team.

We need that Fabinho height against Palace because of Benteke…

gini didnt play bad but fabinho should be the CDM. Benteke likes to drop down a little for those long balls. Palace also seem to be some set piece merchants vs us always. His size and poise is needed in the selhust
