Adam Lallana has had a frustrating season at Liverpool due to injury.

The midfielder has been restricted to just one Premier League start due to a hamstring problem.

In total, Lallana - valued at £22.5m by Transfermarkt - has featured in 13 games in all competitions, and is in a race to be fit for England’s World Cup campaign this summer.

Recently, the 29-year-old, who moved to Anfield from Southampton in 2014, flew to South Africa to seek treatment at a facility in Cape Town.

The midfielder’s constant injury woes has led fans to wonder about his long-term future at Liverpool, particularly as he has not been part of the scintillating side that has reached the Champions League semi-finals.

Despite not being fully fit, Lallana will travel with the squad to Italy for Wednesday’s semi-final second leg against Roma.

Liverpool head into the decider with a 5-2 advantage from the first tie at Anfield, which saw Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane get on the scoresheet.

Even though Lallana will not play a part in the showdown in Rome, his inclusion in the squad indicates that he is not far away from being eligible for competitive action.
