Lots of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Philippe Coutinho's £27m loan fee, which has been reported by Catalunya Radio (via The Daily Mail).

The story states that Barcelona have offered the Brazil international to Premier League clubs on a season-long loan deal for a sum of £27m, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal said to be in the running.

The Reds sold Coutinho back in 2018 for a sum of £142m, but things haven't quite gone to plan for the former Inter Milan man at the Camp Nou.

He has scored just 21 goals in 76 appearances, and was booed by his own supporters last season - his future with the Spanish champions is certainly looking bleak.

The 27-year-old still possesses enough talent to make an impact on the big stage and fans of the Premier League will know all about what he can do after his time at Anfield, but a fee of £27m for just one season seems rather steep.

Let's take a look at what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the news...
