Lots of Liverpool fans have been reacting to a report from David Ornstein, who claims the Reds and Tottenham will rival Manchester United for the signature of James Maddison.
Every now and again a young English talent hits a patch of good form and becomes the talk of the town, and right now that talent is Leicester City’s Maddison.
Ornstein, who was detailing Manchester United’s interest in the playmaker in an article for The Athletic, has revealed that both Liverpool and Spurs will nose their way into proceedings, with both clubs able to offer more realistic chances of Champions League football than the Red Devils.
Linked with Liverpool before his move to the Foxes from Norwich, the 22 year-old has been sensational for Brendan Rodgers’ side this term.
After scoring seven times in the Premier League last term and also adding seven assists, per WhoScored, he has started this campaign in fine fashion with two strikes and two assists to his name.
He is completing 1.6 key passes and 1.8 crosses per game, following on from a season in which he created more chances than any player in the English top-flight.
Fans on Twitter have been discussing moving for the playmaker extraordinaire, and you can find some of the best verdicts down below…
Or we could have sold Lallana 2 years ago and got him for £20m.

Will be a perfect fit for us…hugely talented and able to break defenses down?

I hope we wont sign him. There are better players out there that would suit our team much more.

To replace Lallana? I am totally for it

Nope, he wouldn’t. I think he can be harmful and unbalance the team. A worse version of Coutinho.
