Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to praise the performance of centre-back Ragnar Klavan after his performance in the Merseyside derby.
Klavan stood in once again – having featured at both West Ham and Middlesbrough – for Joel Matip, and is starting to form what seems a formidable partnership with first team regular Dejan Lovren.
Given the mammoth task of marking Romelu Lukaku, the Estonian international kept the big Belgian in his pocket all game, especially during the first half where the Toffee’s threatened heavily from wide positions.
Pundit Alan Smith was quick to criticise Klavan at the break, but many Liverpool fans clearly didn’t agree as they took to social media to show both their praise for their summer signing and displeasure at Neville’s analysis of his performance.
Here are some of the best …

Klavan has been absolutely superb so far. Flawless I'd even say.

It's still a weird game, though. Ragnar Klavan is the best player on the park. #LFC
