Liverpool fans fuming with Bogdan after U23 performance

Liverpool fans are furious with goalkeeper Adam Bogdan after the keeper made several mistakes for the U23 side on Wednesday night.

Adam Bogdan continued his Liverpool nightmare on Wednesday as the Hungarian stopper featured in the U23 loss to Middlesbrough, before seemingly professing his love for Manchester United.

Despite dropping a simple cross and conceding three goals in the 3-1 loss to Middlesbrough, his performance in the match wasn’t the worst thing he did.

Liverpool fans have always felt a little bemused by the signing of Bogdan since he joined in 2015, but he put the cherry on the cake on Wednesday by professing his love for Manchester United on social media.

The 30 year-old keeper posted a picture of a Manchester United flag, accompanied by the words “keep the red flags flying high, Man United will never die!”

Liverpool fans are understandably fuming with the post, questioning why the club continues to pay his wages. Of course, there are some questions to the legitimacy of the post, but it appears real at this stage.

Bogdan was brought in to challenge Simon Mignolet by Brendan Rodgers, but his Anfield career was over before it began after a nightmare Premier League debut in a 3-0 loss to Watford.

After an unsuccessful loan spell at Wigan, the Hungarian is basically still at Liverpool because no one else wants him, and his contract does not run out until next summer.

Liverpool fans have been reacting to his U23 performance and social media activity on Twitter, and some of the best reactions can be found below…
