Adam Lallana played the full 90 minutes as Liverpool recorded a 1-0 win over Everton in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.

There is no getting away from the fact that the Englishman is not considered to be a part of Jurgen Klopp's first-choice XI at Anfield, with just three Premier League starts to his name this season.

However, the 31-year-old has now been involved in Liverpool's last six matches in all competitions, and his performance against Everton led to a host of praise from the Merseyside club's supporters on social media.

According to WhoScored, Lallana boasted a pass success rate of 88% against Carlo Ancelotti's side, whilst he also managed three tackles, three dribbles and two shots.

A number of other supporters, meanwhile, referenced the fact that Lallana finished the match with the captain's armband. James Milner started as skipper, but the veteran was forced off through injury in the first period.

Lallana will see his contract expire at the end of the season, but some of the supporters are keen for the experienced midfielder to remain at the club.

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens with the former Southampton youngster as a number of clubs could well be monitoring developments. This is, after all, a former England international and Champions League winner available on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly interested in moving for this in-form attacker as Klopp looks to boost his options in the final third.
