Liverpool have had a serious problem between the sticks over the last few seasons, with Simon Mignolet proving time and time again that he is not consistent enough to be the club’s number one goalkeeper.
The same could be said for Loris Karius in the early stages of his Anfield career, but the German has been given a run in the team in recent weeks, and has just started to show signs that he could be the answer for the Reds.
Indeed, Karius impressed in both legs of Liverpool’s Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City, which the Merseyside outfit won 5-1 on aggregate to march into the semi-finals.
Karius still has a lot to do to convince a wider audience that he is capable of performing on a week-to-week basis, but the 24-year-old, who is believed to be on £25,000 a week at Anfield, has done himself a lot of good over the last week.
Indeed, the Liverpool fans seem to have changed their tune, with many taking to social media to reveal their delight with the stopper’s recent form.
