Jordan Henderson has not always delighted Liverpool fans over the years, but he had a positive 2017-18 campaign.

The midfielder has carried his form into the World Cup with England, so much so that he has been selected ahead of Eric Dier by manager Gareth Southgate at the tournament.

The 28-year-old started both Group G matches against Tunisia and Panama, but it is unclear whether or not he will be rested for the clash against Belgium on Thursday given that the Three Lions have already qualified for the last 16.

The game against Panama could not have gone better for Southgate's team as they earned a 6-1 win - the nation's highest ever score at a World Cup.

Henderson, who has earned 41 caps for his country, may not have contributed to the scoreline, but he played a pivotal role in the middle of the park.

After the final whistle, Liverpool fans discussed the former Sunderland player's performance, and some suggested that their captain handles the transition from club to country much better than ex-Reds midfielder Steven Gerrard.
