Liverpool fans have new respect for Fabregas following comments about Salah future

There is no denying that Mohamed Salah has been Liverpool’s standout player of the season.

The Egyptian international has silenced doubters that questioned his quality due to a failed two-year spell at Chelsea.

So far this season, Salah has scored 43 goals in all competitions, and he currently leads the way in the Premier League scoring charts as he has 31 to his name, five more than Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.

Unsurprisingly, transfer rumours have begun to rumble, with Real Madrid emerging as the main suitors.

However, according to Sky Sports, the Spanish giants have not made any contact with the Reds regarding a deal for Salah.

Interestingly, Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has had his say on the situation, and believes that any club would find it difficult to prise the attacker away from Anfield.

While speaking to Cadena Cope radio, the Spaniard claimed that Liverpool’s style of play under Jurgen Klopp suits Salah to the ground, and cannot envisage a departure just yet.

“Liverpool exploit his qualities to the maximum. Salah is talented, he is fast, he scores. Liverpool have players that open the doors to find Salah the space he needs. He has found the right place, the ideal time to shine, and he is doing a great job.

“Right now if you are Liverpool and considering the season he has had, I don’t know how much you can ask for a player like him. I doubt that there is a club that can pay what Liverpool would ask for Salah. I’m sure Liverpool will not let him go easily. It’s hard to see Salah leaving Liverpool, at least this year.”

Liverpool fans have been giving their reactions to Fabregas’s claims on Reddit.
