Chelsea completed the £58m signing of Borussia Dortmund winger and one-time Liverpool target Christian Pulisic on Wednesday, and Reds fans were quick to have their say on the move on Twitter.

The Telegraph reported in November that the Merseyside outfit and the Blues were keen on a move for the 20-year-old attacker, and while there is no official evidence that Jurgen Klopp wanted him in more recent times, the club from the capital have won the race for his signature.

On the flanks may have been a position that Klopp was keen to strengthen previously, but given he has Sadio Mane and Mo Salah available to him – as well as the success stories of Xherdan Shaqiri and Derby County loanee Harry Wilson – it is certainly no longer a priority.

Liverpool supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the big-money move, and while one said "Pulisic is just a poor man's Harry Wilson", another described it as a "huge loss for Liverpool".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
