Liverpool fans hope Mo Salah will deliver when it counts after poor Sunday display

Liverpool were defeated 1-0 away to Chelsea in the English Premier League on Sunday, the third consecutive top-flight match they’ve failed to win.

Their battle to finish in the top four will now likely go to the last day, with Brighton & Hove Albion due to visit Anfield.

Olivier Giroud’s goal was enough to give the Blues the three points, with Liverpool’s attacking talent failing to have an impact on the game whatsoever.

Mohamed Salah was unusually quiet and after an phenomenal 42-goal season has now failed to net or assist in his last three matches.

It’s not something that Liverpool fans should be particularly worried about of course, but they are hoping he can show improvement against Real Madrid in the upcoming UEFA Champions League final.

The Reds are so close to a historic season and just need to produce one last impressive performance.
