Liverpool fans were left bitterly disappointed on Saturday after watching their team fall to a 2-1 defeat away to rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Knowing victory would leapfrog them into second place in the English Premier League above Jose Mourinho's outfit, supporters were optimistic heading into the encounter, but defensive errors again cost them in a big match this season.

Marcus Rashford found great joy on United's left flank up against right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold and scored twice in the first half to put the game beyond Jurgen Klopp's side.

The teenage defender struggled to cope with Rashford's threat and the occasion as a whole, looking well off the pace on a massive day for him.

Fans recognise that at 19 years of age he is still developing but were still left disappointed by his performance, hoping he can learn lessons from the 90 minutes and improve in the position.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts...
