There is expected to be a scramble this summer for three Sporting Lisbon stars, and Liverpool fans want their club to be part of the conversation.
According to Sky Sports, Bruno Fernandes, Gelson Martins and William Carvalho have all informed the Portuguese outfit that they wish to be released from their contracts.
The decision stems from a horrific attack on the squad by a 50-strong masked gang in May, which resulted in some members being beaten at the club’s training ground.
If all three end up being available for transfer, then a number of Premier League clubs are expected to be interested.
The Mirror reports that Arsenal could be keeping an eye on Martins, while West Ham United and Everton are eyeing Carvalho.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have been linked to midfielder Fernandes, but it seems that the Merseyside outfit’s fanbase want more than one.
On Reddit, the supporters discussed the idea of potentially moving for Fernandes and Martins, both of whom are attack-minded stars.
Liverpool fans are still reeling from the disappointment of missing out on Nabil Fekir from Lyon, but some have suggested that there is a decent alternative in the Sporting squad.
