A number of Liverpool fans have lauded Alisson Becker for his performance against KRC Genk on Tuesday night, as Jurgen Klopp's men won the Champions League Group Stage tie 2-1.

Alisson had missed the Reds' opening two UEFA encounters of the campaign through injury, having missed much of the early weeks of the season with a calf issue that kept him on the sidelines for several weeks.

The Brazilian returned to his position between the sticks towards the end of October and faced Genk at the Luminus Arena, but failed to keep a clean sheet for the third time this term.

A maiden shut out of the campaign would not be his against the Jupiler Pro League side on Tuesday night either, as Mbwana Samatta was able to fire past the 27-year-old to pull the tie level in the 40th-minute.

Every Premier League club's WORST player is named and shamed in the video below...

Alisson was left with no chance of saving the forward's header as half-time approached, with Samatta beating James Milner in the air to level the scores following Georginio Wijnaldum's earlier opener.

He would end the opening 45 having made a few collections from crosses, and would prove vital to Liverpool holding onto their second lead of the night after Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put the Premier League leaders back ahead.

The former AS Roma star pulled off a big save to deny Bryan Heynen in the closing stages after the midfielder drifted into a wide-open pocket of space, before Casper De Norre headed over the bar to let the Reds off.

Some Liverpool fans were mightly impressed by Alisson's efforts as he kept Liverpool ahead, with one noting he was 'flawless'.
