On Tuesday night, Liverpool's official Twitter account posted a video of Curtis Jones scoring a hat-trick for the club's Under-23 side against Sunderland Under-23s.

And it will not come as a surprise to learn that a number of the Merseyside club's fans took to social media to rave about the 19-year-old.

Jones has made seven first-team appearances for the Reds this season, scoring twice in the FA Cup, including a stunner against Everton.

And a lot of the Liverpool supporters are excited by his talent.

Others, though, suggested that Jones is gaining little from appearing for the 23s and needs to either leave on loan or be promoted to the first team on a full-time basis.

Meanwhile, another fan called for head coach Jurgen Klopp to start the teenager in the fifth round of the FA Cup against Chelsea next month.

Liverpool have one more Premier League match against Watford this weekend before heading to Stamford Bridge in England's leading cup competition.

The Merseyside giants will then host Bournemouth in the league on March 7 before welcoming Atletico Madrid for the first leg of their last-16 Champions League clash four days later.
