Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to Jürgen Klopp’s pre-Leicester press conference, as the manager hit back at Simon Mignolet’s recent complaints.
Perhaps due to the poor form of both Mignolet and Loris Karius, Liverpool’s goalkeeping situation since the arrival of Alisson is quite odd.
The Reds had two players competing for the spot, only for both players to suddenly be out in the cold with the arrival of a far superior goalkeeper.
Karius has of course now left the club on loan, meaning Mignolet is required to stay and provide cover for Alisson.
While earning hundreds of thousands of pounds and getting pitch-side tickets to every match doesn’t sound too bad to most fans, Mignolet has expressed his unhappiness with the situation, saying it is “bizarre” that Karius was allowed to leave instead of him.

“He will not leave today,” Klopp said in response to questions about the Belgian.
“In general, discussing your individual problems in public is actually doesn’t make too much sense. It’s better that you speak to each other. I’m a big believer in that.
“If he was happy to be a number two then I wouldn’t really know him. He is a top professional, a top goalkeeper and of course he is not happy to be number two.
“At the end, there are worse things in the world than being number two, pretty good pay by the way at Liverpool.”
Klopp is clearly not too happy with Mignolet’s comments, though he did go on to say the 30 year-old is a top professional.

Lets face it, he had years to prove he was worthy of the number one spot. Maybe needs to look at himself before he blames anyone else for his current predicament.
