Liverpool moved up into 2nd place in the English Premier League on Saturday after a dominant 4-1 win over West Ham United at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s attacking outfit were at their blistering best against a defensively minded Hammers side, with top stars like Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all getting on the scoresheet.
The visitors were powerless to resist, leaving the home supporters absolutely delighted with the performance.
While it’s the Reds’ attacking players that will steal the headlines, there was only one player on the lips of every Liverpool fan and that was left-back Andrew Robertson.
Fans of the Football FanCast Accy Show will know that we tend to recommend a Premier League outright win treble each week. Those fans might also be aware that this coupon has paid out on many occasions—including the last PL game week!
Take a look at our latest top flight treble—as well as our very tempting EFL fourfold—in the latest edition of the show!
The Scotland international has burst onto the Anfield scene as one of the most exciting defenders at the club in recent years, going a long way to making the left-back slot his own with hard working performances and a fearless attitude.
Fans can’t believe quite how good he has been, with some predicting he’ll be a mainstay of the Liverpool team for years.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the 23-year-old…
Robertson. The front 3 will get more plaudits. Van Dijk will get more praise and Karius will get more media but that boy has been #LFC’s find of the season.

This is the sort of tweet that won't age well but I don't care.
I want Robertson to be our first choice left back for the next 10 years. #LFC

Andy Robertson could potentially be the best left back I’ve seen play for us. Always been a problem position but the potential of our current full backs is very promising #lfc

Said it years ago, said it at the start of the season and I’ll say it again. What a player Andy Robertson is. Young, hungry and powerful. #LFC
