With the use of social media becoming an every day part of the modern game, plenty of fans get excited when unlikely friendships are formed between footballers.
This week, some Liverpool supporters noticed that Atletico Madrid star and French World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann sent a message to Roberto Firmino via Instagram stories.
The 27-year-old, who won the most prestigious trophy in football with France in Russia over the summer, posted a photo of a signed Firmino Brazil shirt.
The link between the two players is unknown given that they play for different clubs and international teams.
However, some Liverpool fans were quick to point out the Instagram reference, with a handful of supporters imagining what it would be like if Griezmann moved to Anfield.
There are no indications that the attacker intends to leave Atletico any time soon, but some fans have begun dreaming.
Others are just delighted to see that Firmino and Griezmann have a friendship.
