Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan the fact that Jurgen Klopp is playing Naby Keita out on the left of midfield, as opposed to starting him centrally alongside Fabinho.
The Guinean international had to leave the field against Wolves due to injury midway through the second half, but never really got into the game before he was forced to withdraw.
The 23-year-old is yet to record a goal or an assist in 14 Premier League appearances so far this season at the club he joined from RB Leipzig in the summer. He has struggled with injuries as well as keeping his place in the team, but fans seem to think his ineffective displays are a result of Jurgen Klopp’s decision to play him on the left of midfield.
Let’s take a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to the £52m man’s showing at Molineux, where the Reds managed to pick up all three points once again…
Using him as a winger.. klopp is killing naby keita.. just play him in cm amd put mane back in his left wing #lfc

Naby Keita playing like he's never seen rain like this. Possibly he hasn't. In any case he needs to be centre to thrive. Like Henderson in the free role. Wolves have played well, but we will frustrate them. 2-0 win incoming

The Naby Keïta on the left experiment needs to come to an end.

Move him into the middle and put shaq out there

Totally agree. He doesn’t look like he has the legs to get up and down in that position. I’m a little concerned about where this “dynamic, forward thinking, dribbling, shooting and scoring” midfielder is. I’m starting to doubt him a little. I know @boabbyclub agrees with ?

Need to get him back in the middle
