There are some fans that back their fellow English clubs to succeed in the Champions League, but there are many who want to see their rivals eliminated as early as possible.

On Wednesday, Liverpool were celebrating a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Red Star Belgrade, while Tottenham Hotspur were licking their wounds after relinquishing their lead to draw 2-2 against PSV Eindhoven.

Not only did Mauricio Pochettino's side drop points, they lost goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to a red card in the 79th minute of the encounter in the Netherlands.

The shot-stopper has had a mixed season so far, mainly due to off-field issues, and against PSV he made a costly error.

Lloris came off his line and committed a sliding challenge that brought down Hirving Lozano.

On Twitter, plenty of Liverpool fans were quick to rub salt into the wound by mocking Tottenham's keeper.

Spurs are currently five points adrift of the top two qualification spots in Group B, while Liverpool reside at the summit of Group C, one point ahead of Napoli.
