Mohamed Salah has been the main man at Liverpool this season thanks to his scintillating displays in front of goal.

The Egyptian international has scored 43 goals in all competitions and currently has a three-goal lead in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Salah could end up being a pivotal figure in the club's European history as Liverpool are in contention to win the Champions League trophy on May 26.

Jurgen Klopp's side will take on Real Madrid in the final in Kiev, and Liverpool fans are expecting a high-scoring game.

At the moment, though, Salah is experiencing a slight drought as he has failed to find the back of the net in his last three outings in all competitions.

On Thursday night, the 25-year-old was crowned the fans' and players' Player of the Year at Liverpool's end-of-season awards, and during the ceremony, he indicated that he sees his long-term future at Anfield.

For the majority of Liverpool fans, it was music to their ears, but others on Twitter and Reddit were not quite as convinced.

Comment from discussion ‪Salah: "I'm very happy here, I'm very happy and everything is fine. Sunday is a very important game and then the CL final but I'm very happy here. I have got ambitions for the future with Liverpool. We had a great season and now we are in the Champions League final and everyone is excited.‬".
