According to The Mirror, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Loris Karius currently has the gloves at Anfield ahead of Simon Mignolet, but it is thought that Klopp will move for a new stopper in this summer's transfer window.

It has been reported that Liverpool might have to pay £40m for Butland despite the fact that Stoke could be relegated from the Premier League this season.

Butland is being tipped to travel with the England squad for the 2018 World Cup, and he has put in a string of impressive performances for the Potters this season.

That said, the Liverpool fans are not convinced when it comes to the 25-year-old, who has also been linked with Arsenal.

Indeed, many have taken to social media to claim that they do not want Klopp to move for the Englishman at the end of the season.
