Lots of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in outrage after Sunday’s pre-season friendly against Sevilla.
The Reds lost the game courtesy of a 90th-minute strike from Alejandro Pozo, after goals from Divock Origi and former Manchester City man Nolito had the score tied at 1-1.
“It reminds me of a bus seat!” – Watch a damning verdict on Chelsea’s new kit in the video below…
However, the friendly affair turned sour after a quite ridiculous challenge from Joris Gnagnon on young Liverpool left-back Yasser Larouci.
Gnagnon flung a leg into the 18-year-old, sending him high up into the air before crashing down to the turf in pain.
Larouci was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher and Gnagnon was shown a straight red card – there is absolutely no place for what he did in a friendly let alone any type of match, and the Liverpool fans on Twitter had every right to be outraged.
Let’s see what the Reds supporters have been saying on Twitter about the horror challenge…
Borderline assault in a preseason friendly. Absolute disgrace from you @Gnagnon_39. pic.twitter.com/L0Dz0pv1CV

Sevilla have played like thugs for so so long, absolutely tired of them. I’ve seen how they are in La Liga, we’ve seen how dirty they are in the Europa and the CL, hate their mentality

He’s done well just to leave on crutches, could have been far worse

@LFC should never play the animals of @SevillaFC in a friendly again, I’m sure we can get a better calibre of team to play, i don’t think they can.

Even with the letter from him. I found it very hard to forgive the lad. I am still angry inside me

What’s a pity! Wish him speed recovery. It is a disgrace. We shouldn’t play any friendly with them in soon future.
