Other than Chelsea, no other set of fans would have wanted Manchester United to lose the FA Cup final more than Liverpool.

The Merseyside outfit are the Red Devils' arch rivals, and even though they may not have been cheering for Chelsea in the Wembley showdown, they would have preferred the Blues' to win.

Luckily for the Liverpool following, they got their wish as Antonio Conte's side defeated United 1-0 in normal time thanks to an Eden Hazard penalty.

Tactically in the first half, United struggled as they failed to make the most of their dominant possession on the ball.

In the second half, some life was ejected into the team as they gave Chelsea more of a challenge, but they failed to find the breakthrough and the Blues claimed their eighth FA Cup.

After the final whistle, plenty of Liverpool fans took aim at United manager Jose Mourinho, who previously played down the Reds' Champions League campaign, which has led them to the final against Real Madrid.

In March while speaking to reporters following United's defeat to Sevilla, which resulted in the club's elimination from Europe, Mourinho took a dig at Liverpool by claiming that even though the club were still in the Champions League, they were no longer in the FA Cup.

To rub salt into United's wounds, Liverpool fans reminded Mourinho of his previous remarks.
