Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to praise Adam Lallana for his performance in the 4-2 win over Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
The England international has come in for criticism from a number of the Reds’ fanbase in recent weeks, as Jurgen Klopp has preferred to bring him on from the bench in favour of Naby Keita or Xherdan Shaqiri and to little effect.

Against the Clarets, however, the former Southampton man was handed just his fourth start of the Premier League season, and took his chance with aplomb by performing admirably.
The 5 foot 8 midfielder recorded two key passes and completed one dribble on a day where he looked bright and dangerous for the title hopefuls, with the win over Sean Dyche’s men helping Liverpool climb back to within a point of Manchester City with eight games to go.
Let’s see what the Merseysiders are saying about Lallana’s performance on Twitter after the convincing victory…
People questioned lallana’s inclusion today, the same people that moaned we lacked creativity in the midfield v Utd & ev. Can see why klopp picked him over other options. He works extreamly hard to win the ball back and is creative going forward.

Solid performance today, lots of players doing lots of good things and should've scored more.
Special shoutout to Lallana, was excellent in and out of possession and kept driving us on.

How ironic that we were all mad that Lallana played and he ended up winning man of the match. pic.twitter.com/Q8tWin1mzk

Lallana showed a hunger in the midfield 3 today that has been missing for a while. Giving Klopp a welcome selection headache for the next few games

Lallana was very good today, got around the pitch and used the ball well. first time in a long time hes looked match sharp. hopefully it can continue for the rest of the season coz 3 years ago he was easily Englands best player

All talk was about Lallana starting, he’s gone out and played a man of the match Performance.
Moral of the Story: get behind the starting 11 no matter who they are. #LFC
