Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to drool over Harvey Elliott's performance against Everton in the FA Cup on Sunday.Jurgen Klopp's men recorded a 1-0 win over the Toffees at Anfield despite playing a number of academy graduates in Curtis Jones, Neco Williams, Pedro Chirivella and Nathaniel Phillips, as well as 16-year-old Elliott - in contrast, Carlo Ancelotti fielded a strong side consisting of players such as Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lucas Digne.

It was the latter of that Everton bunch who had a torrid time against 16-year-old Elliott on Sunday, as the teenager ran rings around the France international all afternoon until he was substituted for Rhian Brewster in the 79th minute.

The former Fulham prospect made three key passes against Everton - no player on either side recorded more - while Elliott also completed one dribble and was fouled twice.

Liverpool's No.67 also attempted eight crosses, with two of them successful, while he also made one tackle and one clearance in what was a fine showing that defied his young age - his showing certainly had these Liverpool fans drooling...

This fan couldn't believe that Elliott is only 16, saying that they "love it" when the diminutive forward gets on the ball.

Another supporter commended Elliott for the shift that he put in against Ancelotti's men, before branding the teenager as "immense" and first-team material "for sure" - high praise indeed.

One fan pinpointed a moment where Klopp looked "so proud" of Elliott, before also pouring superlatives on the youngster by saying "what a player".

These two supporters continued the adoration over Elliott's performance.

One fan with the username 'The LFC Community' said that the young man's positional discipline is "unbelievable" while another said that Elliott is "too good to be a 16-year-old" and "needs more first team minutes" - on the basis of his display in the FA Cup third round, it's hard to argue with that.
