The agent of former Liverpool player Bobby Duncan has got himself into some hot water.

Back in August, Saif Rubie made some astonishing claims about the Reds' treatment of the 18-year-old, saying that he was suffering from mental health problems due to the way he was treated by the Anfield outfit. He even said they were forcing him to stay at the club.

The statement, which was released on Twitter, was soon taken down from the social media platform, but not before the FA had seen it. He was charged, and he has now been banned for six weeks, whilst he has also been hit with a £10,000 fine.

There has been plenty of reaction from the club's supporters, and they clearly feel the representative he been let off lightly.

It certainly does seem a bit of a pointless ruling. It is hard to see what he will learn, or lose, from a six-week ban, even though it does mean he won't be able to operate during part of the winter transfer window.

Some Liverpool fans have taken this chance to show they don't miss their former youth team player at all.

Indeed, he has failed to make any waves at all at his new club Fiorentina. He is yet to make an appearance for the first team, or even be included in a matchday squad. Instead, he has four goals in nine appearances for La Viola's youth side.
