Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made five changes to the team that beat AS Roma 5-2 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie at Anfield on Tuesday for the visit of Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday, and Reds fans have been quick to have their say on the selection.

Joe Gomez, Ragnar Klavan, Alberto Moreno, Georginio Wijnaldum and Danny Ings all come into the XI in a supposed 5-2-3 formation, with Dejan Lovren, Andrew Robertson and James Milner rested, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sadio Mane, whom the Anfield faithful on Twitter begged Klopp to omit against the Potters, missing out because of injury.
The Merseyside outfit will be looking to move a step closer to securing their top-four spot in the top flight – they need five points from their final three matches to do that – but they will also have one eye on the second leg of their European tie in the Italian capital on Wednesday night.
Liverpool supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the German’s selection, and while one said “yeah, no win for us then”, another said “I never thought I’d see this under Klopp” in relation to the potential 5-2-3 system.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
