Loads of Liverpool fans have been giving their verdict on the win over Everton, and they are running out of superlatives for Joe Gomez.
Liverpool stayed firmly on Manchester City’s heels on Sunday with a bizarre last-gasp winner against Everton, and there were plenty of standout individual performances.
Fabinho looked like the player the Reds have been missing for years, Divock Origi was a man reborn, but Gomez may just have been the pick of the bunch.

The versatile young defender has been superb this season, and was alert to clear the ball off the line in the first half after Alisson Becker parried a header from Andre Gomes.
The 21-year-old won three aerial duels, made five clearances and completed 84 per cent of his passes, showing unbelievable composure for such a young player throughout the match.
His partnership with Virgil van Dijk is a huge part of the Reds’ ever-improving defensive record, and fans are praising the signing that cost just £3.5m under Brendan Rodgers.

Gomez just gets better. You’re not beating him in a race and his reading of the game is top drawer! To have only conceded 5 in 14 is some going especially given the teams they’ve played. Give Charlton more money #robbery https://t.co/cqIIeGhqOY

#LFC have got an absolute star in the making in Joe Gomez. At 21 he already looks as good as Van Dijk. A possible future Liverpool & England Captain.

Joe Gomez dribbling out with the ball from the back, is my new favourite thing in football.
