Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to a brilliant update from Jurgen Klopp, as the boss confirmed Trent Alexander-Arnold is in contention to face Crystal Palace.

It’s fair to say more than a few Liverpool fans were saying “I told you so” after Alexander-Arnold picked up an injury at Brighton.

The decision to loan Nathaniel Clyne out to Bournemouth was met with a lot of criticism, and when reports this week claimed Alexander-Arnold could be out for a month that criticism looked to be justified.

However, Klopp has delivered some news at his pre-Palace press conference on Friday, claiming the young Scouser could return on Saturday, just seven days since damaging his knee at the Amex Stadium.

“(He) will be close for tomorrow,” Klopp said, while also confirming that Georginio Wijnaldum is nearing full fitness.

The Reds have often struggled to break down teams like Palace in the past, so the potential return of a player who gives them tons of creativity and exuberance down that right flank is a huge boost.
