Rhian Brewster could yet feature for Liverpool this season having trained with his teammates for the first time in over 12 months.

Brewster has been on the sidelines since suffering a serious ankle injury in January 2018, but was a part of the Liverpool squad that headed to Marbella for a mid-season winter training camp.

Liverpool's official website has revealed that the 18-year-old took part in full-contact training with his teammates, suggesting that he could play a part for the club in the final months of the 2018-19 campaign.

Brewster, who signed a new long-term deal with the Reds over the summer, is regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in English football.

The 5ft 11in attacker has conceded that he considered giving up football during the recovery process, but is delighted to have now returned to the training field.
