Rhian Brewster could yet feature for Liverpool this season having trained with his teammates for the first time in over 12 months.
Brewster has been on the sidelines since suffering a serious ankle injury in January 2018, but was a part of the Liverpool squad that headed to Marbella for a mid-season winter training camp.
Liverpool’s official website has revealed that the 18-year-old took part in full-contact training with his teammates, suggesting that he could play a part for the club in the final months of the 2018-19 campaign.
Brewster, who signed a new long-term deal with the Reds over the summer, is regarded as one of the most talented youngsters in English football.
The 5ft 11in attacker has conceded that he considered giving up football during the recovery process, but is delighted to have now returned to the training field.
And the Liverpool fans have been on social media reacting to the fitness update, with a selection available to view below:

Not sure I get all this hype with Brewster. The lad hasn’t played for us yet and only had a couple of good games for a very Young England side. Time will tell, but I really think the lad needs to stop talking to the media and concentrate on a possible career! #LFC

Takes great mental strength with a long term Injury. I called time on my career due to injury, was at a top club with so much to look forward to. Delighted he just stayed strong and got through it
