The inclusion of Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay was the headline news when Alex McLeish named his Scotland squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Costa Rica and Hungary.

McTominay, who qualifies for Scotland through his grandparents, is believed to have snubbed interest from England to pledge his allegiance to Scotland.

New head coach McLeish actually named six new players in the squad, but there were plenty of familiar faces, with Liverpool's Andrew Robertson among those selected once again.

The 24-year-old, who has scored twice in 20 appearances for his country, has been in fine form for Liverpool in recent weeks.

Indeed, an injury to Alberto Moreno has seen Robertson profit, with the left-back, who is believed to collect £50,000 a week in wages at Anfield, starting each of Liverpool's last eight Premier League matches.

The club's supporters have been reacting to Robertson's call-up, and there was not too much surprise among the Liverpool faithful due to the defender's impressive form.
