Liverpool hosted Bayern Munich at Anfield on Tuesday night in a highly anticipated game that looked set to be jam-packed with goals but, instead and like the other UCL clash that evening, the tie rather disappointingly ended 0-0.

Both goalkeepers, Alisson Becker and Manuel Neuer, were called into action but the latter looked far more under threat throughout and Liverpool can feel aggrieved that they didn't take more from the first leg; you would fancy them to get an away goal or two when they visit the Allianz Arena.

Many of the Merseysiders were guilty of missing chances but Sadio Mane would have had a sleepless night when he got back home - the former Southampton man scuffed wide his side's best chance of the game and should, really, have played substitute Divock Origi in on goal in the dying moments but declined to do so.

The 5 foot 9 attacker has been in fine form in recent weeks, popping up with some crucial goals and scoring in four consecutive games for the first time in his career but, even though he wasn't the poorest of Liverpool's revered front three, many of the Kop feel he is to blame for the stalemate.
