Fabinho was a surprise arrival when Liverpool signed the midfielder from Monaco in the summer.

The defensive midfielder moved to Merseyside along with Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and goalkeeper Alisson.

For the first few months of the campaign, manager Jurgen Klopp kept Fabinho on the sidelines as he felt that the 24-year-old was not quite up to speed with the demands of the Premier League.

It is only in the last few weeks that the Brazilian has been featuring more regularly, but his performances have sparked mixed reactions.

Earlier this month, Le Parisien reported that Fabinho was bored with life at Anfield and was already considering a move elsewhere, with Paris Saint-Germain thought to be interested.

This week, though, the Liverpool Echo have refuted such suggestions and have also suggested that Klopp will be keen to sign Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic at the end of the season.
