Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Trent Alexander-Arnold scored an exquisite freekick to double the Reds' lead against Watford on Saturday afternoon.

The club's academy graduate stepped up and dispatched a fine, curled effort over the Hornets' wall, leaving Ben Foster rooted to the spot as he watched the net bulge.

His goal settled the nerves coming from the Vicarage Road away end, as Mohamed Salah's earlier strike had given the Merseysiders a precarious 1-0 lead.

Impressively, the 20-year-old's strike follows his fine finish against the United States in a moment which will have meant a lot to him - his first goal for the England national team.

It is not the first time that the Liverpool-born full-back has found the back of the net from a set piece, as he also managed the feat against Hoffenheim in the Champions League last season.

In such a short space of time, it is quickly becoming apparent that Alexander-Arnold may just be the best set piece taker in Jurgen Klopp's squad.

Let's take a look at how the Anfield faithful reacted to their youngster's strike...
