Liverpool tend to settle for a top-four race every season, but this time around they are being tipped as Premier League title contenders.

Following a handful of new additions in the summer, manager Jurgen Klopp has shaped a squad that is good enough to challenge for honours.

At the moment, the Merseyside outfit sit at the summit of the league table after winning all six of their matches so far.

The club's latest win was a 3-0 triumph over Southampton, and it was up to Chelsea to respond on Sunday when they took on West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Maurizio Sarri's side had won all five of their matches heading into the clash, but their run ended at the weekend as the Hammers restricted them to a goalless draw.

As reported by the London Evening Standard, the Chelsea boss told the media after the match that his team need a year before they are at the same standard as Liverpool.

Some Reds fans have been reading into his comments, with some suggesting that Sarri is being tactical in his words ahead of two matches against Liverpool this week.
