Michael Owen has correctly predicted the winners of the Champions League two years in a row but Liverpool fans think he has got it wrong this year.

The former striker predicted Manchester City will end their Champions League voodoo, suggesting it is their time to lift the trophy after building towards it for so long.

That has sparked disagreement from some Liverpool fans, with some believing their own team stands a better chance than their Premier League rivals.

Manchester City have only made it past the quarter-finals once, in 2016 when they played Real Madrid, which is somewhat surprising given they have amassed 283 Premier League points in Pep Guardiola's three years in charge.
