Given that the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid was three months ago, one would assume that the emotions of the showdown has disappeared.

That does not seem to be the case, though, as Sergio Ramos has made waves once again by appearing to take a swipe at Jurgen Klopp in the media.

The Madrid defender was public enemy number one on Merseyside after his challenge on Mohamed Salah led to the Reds star dislocating his shoulder.

It was also revealed after the match that a tussle with Loris Karius caused the goalkeeper to suffer concussion.

While speaking to the assembled media on Wednesday, Ramos insisted that he did not deliberately intend to injure any player during the final.

He also seemed to make a dig at Klopp by refereeing to the fact that the German has lost six finals as manager.

"He will be wanting to explain not winning the final, but it's not the first that he has lost. Some of us have been operating at a very high level for many years - not sure he can say the same. Let Klopp worry about his own players."

It is fair to say that some Liverpool fans were left angered by the Madrid star's remarks.
