Liverpool continued their preparations for the 2019-20 campaign with a 3-0 defeat to Italian giants Napoli in Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon.

It was a tough game for the Reds, who improved in the second half but could not find a way past Carlo Ancelotti's side to give their fans something to cheer.

Alisson Becker's absence meant that there was another start for Simon Mignolet between the sticks, with the 22-time Belgium international still at the club.

In fairness, there was not much that Mignolet could have done about the first two goals.

However, he did palm the ball straight out to Amin Younes for the 25-year-old to score a third for Napoli early in the second period.

And it would be fair to say that a number of the Liverpool fans were not overly pleased with what they saw from Mignolet once again.

Indeed, a number took to social media both during and after the game in Scotland to show their disappointment.
