The Champions League final was three months ago, but some Liverpool fans are struggling to let go of their hatred for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

The Spain international was one of the talking points after the Reds' 3-1 loss in Kiev.

Mohamed Salah ended up leaving the pitch with a dislocated shoulder following a tussle with Ramos.

It was later revealed that Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius suffered concussion during a collision with the Madrid man.

The bitterness seems to still be there in some quarters of the Reds' fanbase, so when Ramos was left on the floor by Diego Costa in Wednesday's Super Cup between Real and Atletico Madrid, Liverpool supporters rejoiced.

A clip emerged on Twitter of the incident, which saw Costa trample over Ramos during a tussle for the ball.

During Costa's three years at Chelsea, the controversial striker was widely hated by Liverpool supporters.

The perception has seemingly changed now that he plays for Atletico and managed to take on Ramos during the showdown, which was won 4-2 by Costa's side.

Some Liverpool fans expressed their admiration for Costa on Twitter, with one even calling for the club to sign him.
