Liverpool fans stunned by Sturridge display vs Chelsea

Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to their dramatic draw at Stamford Bridge, and they’re unsurprisingly ecstatic over the form of Daniel Sturridge.

Liverpool looked to be heading towards their first league defeat of the season on Saturday evening after Eden Hazard’s first half goal gave Chelsea a 1-0 lead.

Alisson Becker made multiple brilliant saves to keep the Reds in the match while Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga made one superb stop down to his right to deny Sadio Mane.

The Reds’ hopes looked to be fading away when Sturridge came on as a late substitute, but the Englishman stepped up with one of the goals of the season.

The 29 year-old scored the vital first goal against PSG in Liverpool’s Champions League opener, and his well-taken goal against Chelsea during the week had fans feeling confident that he is back to his best.

If there were any question marks over his ability to affect games then there certainly aren’t now, and fans think he could have a huge role to play as the season wears on.
