There has been no shortage of attacking players being linked with a move to Liverpool.

Ever since the club's proposed move for Lyon playmaker Nabil Fekir hit a snag, numerous names have been touted in the media as possible alternative targets.

One man that has not been mentioned in the gossip columns is Sunderland's Wahbi Khazri.

The 27-year-old does not particularly stand out as a top option for Jurgen Klopp, but following his performance for Tunisia against Belgium at the World Cup, some fans have taken notice.

Khazri was on the losing end of a 5-2 scoreline, but he did manage to find the back of the net, as well as create an assist.

Given that Tunisia lost to England 2-1 in their opening Group G clash, it is likely that the nation will be dumped out of the tournament before the knockout rounds.

During Saturday's match against Belgium, Khazri had a mixed performance.

In some moments, the midfielder was the best player on the pitch for his team, but for others he displayed poor decision-making, which prompted criticism from BBC commentator Phil Neville.

On Twitter, though, plenty of Liverpool fans liked what they saw.
