Another summer, another semi-final heartbreak for England. This time, though, completely self-inflicted. John Stones and Ross Barkley were the main culprits, but here it's Stones who the Liverpool fans have been going in on, and for good reason given he had a massive hand in two of the Netherlands' goals on a night to forget.

The chances are that Stones won't learn from this. He's failed to learn before when giving the ball away cheaply to cost both Everton and Manchester City, yet he continues to play out from the back and make an idiot of himself when he gets it wrong. Singling him out could be viewed as harsh seeing as Harry Maguire and Kyle Walker were also poor, but Stones' mistakes were inexcusable.

The Reds, though, have particularly enjoyed seeing the current Manchester City and former Everton man make the blunders. As far as they're concerned, the result is playing second fiddle to the fact that they've had the chance to go in on the Three Lions defender, and whilst some are asking where last night's Stones was when they played Man City in the league, others are just taking the opportunity to slam him for his costly blunder.
