Liverpool fans think Firmino will struggle to get in Brazil’s first XI at World Cup

Roberto Firmino has been one of Liverpool’s standout players of the season, alongside attacking partners Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The false 9 has scored 27 goals and created 14 assists in 53 appearances in all competitions.

That tally could increase on May 26 as Firmino is expected to be named in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup for the Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kiev.

The 26-year-old could end the season as a winner of the biggest European club trophy, but either way, he will be on the plane to Russia for Brazil’s World Cup campaign.

Firmino was selected in Tito’s 23-man squad for the tournament, and it is not a huge surprise to see why.

Understandably, Liverpool fans were delighted to see one of their favourites make the cut, but some believe that he will struggle to get into the team.

Many supporters have suggested that Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, who helped the North-West outfit win the Premier League title this season, will be chosen ahead of Firmino.

The 21-year-old scored 17 goals and created three assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

On social media, Liverpool fans discussed the selection row, while others expressed joy for their attacking star.
